Do you get frustrated because you don’t know what to say to make your ideal prospects tick? Do you wonder if people understand what you have to offer? Do you make sense of the people you’re marketing to? These are the most common frustrations when you don’t have a niche market.

Here’s why focusing on a niche is important. Your marketing message becomes specific, clear and as a result, your ideal clients can easily understand you have the solution to their problem. It makes it easier to get more YES.

When you are more focused, you can avoid being the jack-of-all-trades. Remember, a confused mind says no. The limiting belief that you will make less money by reaching out to fewer people is simply not true. The quality of ideal clients you attract will most definitely increase. These are your IDEAL clients. In this case, less is more.

By focusing on a specific market, you are reducing the number of professionals that provide similar services. Why? Because the majority of business owners in your area typically have a broad marketing message. When you niche you easily stand out from the crowd.

I was at a vitamin store one day and I came across this business card with a person’s name and a company name on it. There were no additional details of what this company had to offer. I knew this person and know first-hand that she is extremely passionate about what she does (nutrition).

Did you know people do not buy your company? They buy the SOLUTION you are selling. I asked her what people complain about the most. The answer was simple, they seem to complain about being tired. They want to have more physical energy.

You are probably aware many health issues can cause fatigue. She realized this could be a huge niche market. I recommended that she change her title to “Energy Rich Food Expert,” helping people to boost their physical energy with nutritious and delicious whole foods.

She started working with people to kick their exhaustion goodbye. She’s able to teach people how eating healthy can get them to have all the physical energy they want. She only talks to folks who want that!

Now, let me ask you…who can benefit the most from what you have to offer? Are you ready to niche market your business, become an expert, make more sales and serve more people?
